Nexia Smith & Williamson provides reporting accountant services and tax advice in Mobestar AIM admission

Mobestar Holdings plc, a specialist provider of mobile video-based applications and services, has been admitted to AIM.

A team made up of David Hunt, Natasha Lee and Marco Bragazzi of Nexia Smith & Williamson acted as reporting accountants, with Andrew Wilkes, Kiki Stannard and Mark Eade acting as tax advisers.

David Hunt, an assurance and business services director at Nexia Smith & Williamson, said: “We’re delighted to have acted for this young company at what is an exciting time in its development. We’re looking forward to further consolidating our relationship with Mobestar having been appointed as auditors and after establishing option schemes for the company.”

Mobestar’s services and products help companies to deliver interactive mobile entertainment and other video-based services to consumers via video mobile technology over 2.5G and 3G networks.

By coming to AIM the company intends to raise its customer profile, with a view to competing with larger companies. It initially plans to develop income streams from two sources: the production and delivery of a mobile video dating service for mobile network operators and dating agencies, and the supply of picture and video content to third parties or direct to consumers’ mobile phone handsets.
