Giles is national head of the assurance & business services division and specialises in advising professional practices and clients regulated by the financial services authority (FSA).
Giles is a member of the Financial Services & Markets Group that co-ordinates the provision of services to Smith & Williamson's FSA regulated clients. Giles acts as lead director and adviser to a significant number of FSA regulated firms and has considerable expertise in advising on new applications to the FSA and performing investigative and forensic accounting assignments on regulated businesses.
In addition, Giles acts for a range of professional practices, principally legal firms ranging in size from specialist niche partnerships to large city based firms and has advised on a wide range of financial issues relating to partnerships, including incorporporation, mergers & acquisitions and the implications of the legal services act.
